Scone is a bustling regional town that prides itself on being open and friendly

Not only is our Festival engaging, purposeful and fun but our area has plenty more to offer to ensure your weekend with us is fabulous!

The Upper Hunter is a big place, full of wildly different opinions, passions, stories and traditions. But despite our size, we’re one community, connected to this land and each other by a few distinct characteristics: a hardworking spirit, an appreciation for our rugged landscape, and true-blue country hospitality.

To help you plan your weekend with us. Here are some SLF tips! Our Volunteers are all local, please don’t hesitate to ask them for homegrown tips. We want you to have a fabulous weekend celebrating word makers in the Horse Capital. Yes, that’s what they call us!
