This is an amazing opportunity for Upper Hunter youth (up to 25 year olds), to learn how to create a great narrative on camera.
Stories are told in many forms, and we’re encouraging the sharing of stories in the most relevant ways. We’ve been lucky to secure some amazing talent in the form of Hattie Archibald and Hugo Morgan to run the Filmmaking workshop and inspire our local young creatives!
Hattie is an emerging director, producer and writer originally from Scone, NSW who graduated from AFTRS in 2019 with a Master of Arts: Screen in Directing. Her major project, comedy-drama web series Gut Feeling won several awards internationally, including Audience Choice awards at Melbourne WebFest and Minnesota WebFest, and was picked up by ABC iview in 2020.
Hattie also works as an assistant director and was the 1st AD for feature film Ellie & Abbie (& Ellie’s Dead Aunt) and CJZ film Rocky & Me, which she also helped produce. Recently she worked as 2nd AD on The Moth Effect and Limitless with Chris Hemsworth. Hattie also has 10 years experience as an impact producer for feature documentaries. Read more about Hattie
Hugo Morgan is an emerging Scone film maker currently studying a Bachelors of Film and Television Production at the VCA fine art school in Melbourne. Hugo has multiple low budget feature films in development with his company Mazgo Productions, slated for filming once he graduates at the end of 2023. Read more about Hugo
